अर्थ: परमात्मा हमारे अपने शरीर और आत्मा के भीतर ही निवास करता है, लेकिन भ्रमित मनुष्य इस सत्य को नहीं पहचान पाता। वह ठीक उसी तरह है जैसे कस्तूरी मृग अपनी ही नाभि में स्थित सुगंधित कस्तूरी की खुशबू को बाहर जंगलों और घास में खोजता फिरता है, जबकि वह सुगंध उसके अपने भीतर से ही आ रही होती है।

Meaning: The Divine resides within one's own body and soul, yet the deluded human fails to recognize this truth. He is like the musk deer who, smelling the fragrance of musk emanating from its own navel, wanders aimlessly through the forests and grass in search of the source, unaware that the scent originates from within itself.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि राम (परमात्मा) की खोज में व्यक्ति सिंहल द्वीप जैसे सुदूर स्थानों की कठिन यात्राएं करता है, जबकि सत्य यह है कि वह परमात्मा प्रत्येक मनुष्य के हृदय के भीतर ही निवास करता है। बस आवश्यकता है तो उस आंतरिक सत्य पर अटूट विश्वास और श्रद्धा विकसित करने की।

Meaning: Kabir observes that in search of Ram (the Divine), a seeker may travel to distant lands like the island of Singhal, enduring immense hardship. However, the ultimate truth is that the Divine resides within the very heart of the seeker; all that is required is the awakening of true faith and inner realization.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि हृदय के भीतर विरह और प्रेम की अग्नि प्रज्वलित है, परंतु इसका धुआँ बाहर दिखाई नहीं देता। इस आंतरिक तड़प और आध्यात्मिक पीड़ा को केवल वही व्यक्ति समझ सकता है जो स्वयं इस प्रेम की अग्नि में जल रहा हो या जिसने इस मार्ग को स्वयं अनुभव किया हो।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that within the heart, a fire of longing and divine love burns intensely, yet no smoke is visible to the external world. This internal agony and spiritual yearning can only be perceived by one who is similarly consumed by this fire or by the one who ignited this flame of separation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि एक योगी बनकर उन्होंने सांसारिक मोह का त्याग कर दिया और केवल कंद-मूल जैसे साधारण आहार पर संतोष किया। वे आश्चर्य व्यक्त करते हैं कि उन्हें वह गुप्त आध्यात्मिक औषधि या जड़ी मिल गई है, जिसने उनके स्थूल शरीर और मन को अमर कर दिया है, अर्थात उन्हें जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्ति मिल गई है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the state of a Yogi who has renounced worldly attachments, sustaining himself on simple roots and tubers. He marvels at the discovery of a secret spiritual herb—not a physical plant, but a divine realization—that has rendered his coarse, material existence immortal, liberating him from the cycle of birth and death.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि इस संसार में ऐसा कोई व्यक्ति नहीं मिलता जो पूर्णतः सत्य का मार्ग बता सके, क्योंकि सत्य शब्दों से परे है। शून्य मंडल यानी उस परम शून्य अवस्था में केवल एक ही अविनाशी पुरुष (परमात्मा) का वास है, और साधक को अपनी चेतना को उसी एक तत्व के साथ एकाकार कर लेना चाहिए।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that no human guide can fully articulate the ultimate truth through mere words or methods, as the Absolute transcends language. In the 'Sunni Mandal'—the void or the sphere of emptiness—resides the one Eternal Being; the seeker is urged to merge their consciousness and remain anchored in that singular, formless reality.

अर्थ: संसार में ईश्वरीय ज्ञान और सत्य के मोती बिखरे हुए हैं, परंतु मनुष्य अज्ञानता के अंधेपन के कारण उन्हें देख नहीं पाता। बिना परमात्मा की आंतरिक ज्योति या आत्म-ज्ञान के, इस मायावी संसार के बंधनों को पार करना और वास्तविक मुक्ति प्राप्त करना असंभव है।

Meaning: The pearls of divine truth and spiritual wisdom are scattered everywhere in the world, yet humanity remains blind to them due to ignorance. Without the illuminating light of the Divine or the awakening of the inner soul, one cannot transcend the illusions of this material existence to achieve liberation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिन लोगों ने आत्म-ज्ञान या सत्य की वास्तविक अनुभूति नहीं की है, उन्होंने अपनी जीवन की सुखद नींद और मानसिक शांति को व्यर्थ ही खो दिया है। अज्ञानता के वश में होकर उन्होंने बाहरी कर्मकांडों और व्यर्थ के विवादों में समय गँवाया, जिससे उनके जीवन में केवल कष्ट और मानसिक क्लेश ही शेष रह गए हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that those who have failed to attain true self-realization or spiritual gnosis have needlessly sacrificed the profound peace and 'sleep' of the soul. Driven by ignorance, they chased external illusions and ritualistic shadows, ultimately transforming their existence into a cycle of endless suffering and spiritual unrest.

अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर कहते हैं कि जब शरीर के भीतर की आध्यात्मिक ज्योति या 'मणि' जागृत होती है, तब व्यक्ति बाहरी आडंबरों और सांसारिक मोह से मुक्त हो जाता है। भले ही वह पारंपरिक रूप से 'हरि' या किसी विशेष देवता की पूजा में लीन न दिखे, लेकिन वह आंतरिक सत्य में स्थित है। जैसे गोरखनाथ ने अपनी साधना से अमरत्व प्राप्त किया, वैसे ही कलयुग में भी वह व्यक्ति जो अपनी अंतरात्मा को पहचान लेता है, वह आध्यात्मिक रूप से अमर हो जाता है।

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir suggests that when the spiritual gem or inner light within the body awakens, a person becomes detached from external rituals and worldly attachments. Even if they do not appear to be engaged in conventional worship of a deity, they are anchored in the ultimate Truth. Just as Gorakhnath attained immortality through his rigorous internal alchemy, anyone in this age of Kali who realizes their true self achieves a state of spiritual immortality.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जहाँ तक मैं अपनी आत्मा का विस्तार देखता हूँ, वहीं मुझे साक्षात सालिग्राम (ईश्वर) के दर्शन होते हैं। जब ईश्वर स्वयं मनुष्य के रूप में जीवित शरीर में विद्यमान है, तो पत्थर की मूर्तियों की पूजा करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that wherever he perceives the expanse of the soul, there he finds the Saligram (the divine stone/God). Since the Divine is directly present within the living body of a realized soul, there is no longer any need to seek God in inanimate stones or idols.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि ईश्वर को बाहर खोजने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। आपका मन मथुरा है, हृदय द्वारिका है और यह शरीर काशी है। वास्तविक मंदिर वह 'दसवां द्वार' (सहस्रार चक्र) है, जहाँ उस परम ज्योति का साक्षात्कार होता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that there is no need to seek the Divine in external pilgrimages. Your mind is Mathura, your heart is Dwarika, and this physical body is Kashi. The true temple is the 'tenth door' (the crown chakra), where the eternal light of consciousness is realized.
