अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि देने वाला (दाता) तो चला गया, लेकिन पीछे रह गए वे लोग जो केवल स्वार्थ के लिए चिपके रहते हैं, जैसे मक्खियाँ गंदगी पर मंडराती हैं। वे दान की उदारता और उसके पीछे के आध्यात्मिक भाव को नहीं समझ पाए, बल्कि केवल अपनी जिद और अहंकार के बल पर लड़ने और अधिकार जताने में मजबूत बने रहे।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the benefactor has departed, leaving behind those who cling to the remnants of greed, much like flies swarming over filth. These individuals failed to comprehend the essence of generosity and the spiritual grace of giving; instead, they remain strong only in their stubbornness and their will to fight for material possession.
