अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि साकार रूप (ईश्वर के गुणों और रूपों) की सेवा और भक्ति करें, लेकिन साथ ही निराकार (गुणरहित, अनंत) तत्व का ज्ञान प्राप्त करें। वास्तव में, वह निराकार तत्व साकार की सीमाओं से परे है, और कबीर का ध्यान उसी परम शून्य या अनंत चेतना में केंद्रित है।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that one should engage in the service of the Saguna (the manifest, form-based aspect of the Divine) while simultaneously seeking the knowledge of the Nirguna (the unmanifest, formless Absolute). He asserts that the Nirguna transcends all forms and attributes, and it is in that formless void that his own consciousness is anchored.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अज्ञानता और अहंकार के कारण मनुष्य ने अपने हाथ में पत्थर उठा लिया है। इस मूर्खतापूर्ण कृत्य के कारण, वह अपनी आत्मा (हंस) के वास्तविक समूह से बिछड़ गया है और अब वह बगुले जैसे सांसारिक और पाखंडी लोगों के साथ घुल-मिल गया है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that driven by ignorance and ego, man has picked up a stone of attachment and pride. Because of this misguided action, he has been severed from the company of the 'Hans' (the pure, liberated souls) and has instead fallen into the company of 'Bagas' (the hypocrites and worldly pretenders).

अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर कहते हैं कि केवल सतगुरु का उपदेश ही वह वास्तविक मार्ग है जो मुक्ति दिला सकता है। न तो देवता, न मनुष्य और न ही महान ऋषि-मुनि अपने आप में उद्धार करने वाले हैं। यहाँ तक कि सृष्टि के रचयिता ब्रह्मा, पालनकर्ता विष्णु और संहारक शिव भी उस परम सत्य के अधीन हैं जिसे केवल गुरु की कृपा और ज्ञान से ही समझा जा सकता है।

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir asserts that only the teachings of the True Guru provide the actual path to liberation. Neither celestial beings, nor ordinary humans, nor even the most revered sages possess the inherent power to deliver the soul. Even the supreme trinity—Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer—are viewed within the context of the cosmic play, while the ultimate realization is accessible only through the grace and wisdom of the Satguru.

अर्थ: सच्चे ज्ञान का वृक्ष वह है जिसके फल मीठे होते हैं और जिसकी वाणी तथा विचार शीतल होते हैं। इस संसार में वास्तव में ऐसे साधु या ज्ञानी बहुत कम हैं जो अहंकार से मुक्त हों; अधिकांश लोग केवल बाहरी दिखावे और सांसारिक मोह-माया की अग्नि में जल रहे हैं।

Meaning: The tree of true knowledge bears fruits of wisdom and offers the cooling shade of peaceful words and thoughts. In this world, true saints—those who have transcended the ego—are rare; most people remain consumed by the burning fires of worldly attachments and superficial rituals.

अर्थ: संत का निवास स्थान इतना सूक्ष्म और गहरा है कि उसे ब्रह्मा और वेद भी नहीं देख पाते। छह दर्शन (षड्दर्शन) केवल बौद्धिक बहस और तर्क-वितर्क में उलझे रहते हैं, जबकि सत्य का वास्तविक रहस्य केवल वही व्यक्ति जान पाता है जो अहंकार शून्य होकर अनुभव की गहराई में उतरता है।

Meaning: The dwelling place of a realized saint is so subtle and profound that neither Brahma nor the Vedas can perceive it. While the six schools of philosophy engage in endless intellectual disputes and noise, the secret of ultimate truth is realized only by the rare few who transcend the intellect to experience the divine directly.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि सभी साधु या आध्यात्मिक साधक मूल रूप से एक ही तत्व से बने हैं, ठीक उसी तरह जैसे अफीम के खेत में सभी पौधे एक ही प्रजाति के होते हैं। अंतर केवल उनके बाहरी स्वरूप, परिपक्वता या गुणों में होता है, जैसे कुछ लाल दिखते हैं और कुछ सफेद, लेकिन उनका मूल स्वभाव और स्रोत एक ही रहता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that all seekers and saints are fundamentally of the same essence, much like plants in an opium field. While they may appear different in color—some red and some white—representing varying levels of discernment or external attributes, their intrinsic nature and origin remain identical and unified.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि दुनिया में सभी साधु या आध्यात्मिक साधक अपनी-अपनी जगह पर महान और सम्मानित होते हैं। लेकिन जो व्यक्ति शब्दों के वास्तविक अर्थ को समझने की क्षमता रखता है और सत्य व असत्य के बीच विवेकपूर्ण अंतर कर सकता है, वही वास्तव में सर्वोच्च है और समाज का गौरव है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that all seekers and saints are great in their own respective capacities and spheres. However, those who possess the discernment to analyze the 'Shabd' (the Divine Word) and can distinguish the essence of truth from mere rhetoric are the truly exceptional ones, serving as the crowning glory of humanity.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि केवल बाहरी दिखावे या सतही दृष्टि से सत्य को न पहचानें, बल्कि विवेक और गहन समझ का उपयोग करें। जिस प्रकार सोने की शुद्धता की जांच बिना कसौटी के नहीं की जा सकती, उसी प्रकार आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान की सत्यता को बिना अनुभव और विवेक की कसौटी के नहीं जाना जा सकता।

Meaning: Kabir emphasizes that one should not be deceived by superficial appearances but should seek deep understanding. Just as the purity of gold cannot be verified without a touchstone, the authenticity of spiritual knowledge cannot be recognized without the rigorous application of discernment and personal experience.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब तक मनुष्य के भीतर 'भेद' या 'अंतर' की भावना बनी रहती है, तब तक वह वास्तविक शांति प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता। इस संसार के तीनों लोकों में ऐसा कोई व्यक्ति नहीं मिला जो इस द्वैत और अलगाव की मानसिक अवस्था में रहकर पूर्णतः सुखी हो पाया हो।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that as long as the mind harbors the notion of 'difference' or 'separation' between oneself and others, true peace remains elusive. He observes that across the three realms of existence, no soul has ever been found truly happy while clinging to the illusion of duality and separation.

अर्थ: जिस प्रकार कुमुदनी जल में निवास करती है और चंद्रमा आकाश में, उसी प्रकार ईश्वर या सत्य हर व्यक्ति को उसकी अपनी मानसिक अवस्था, श्रद्धा और आंतरिक भावना के अनुसार ही प्राप्त होता है। सत्य सर्वव्यापी है, परंतु हमारी दृष्टि ही उसे सीमित करती है।

Meaning: Just as the water lily dwells in the water and the moon resides in the vast sky, the Divine or Truth manifests to every individual according to their own inner disposition, faith, and emotional longing. Truth is omnipresent, but it is our own perception that defines how we experience it.
