अर्थ: हे प्रभु, मुझ पर अपनी कृपा दृष्टि डालें, क्योंकि मैं इस संसार रूपी गहरे और मायावी जल में डूबा हुआ हूँ। यदि आपने मेरा हाथ नहीं थामा, तो मैं इस भवसागर की लहरों में स्वयं ही नष्ट हो जाऊँगा और मोक्ष से वंचित रह जाऊँगा।

Meaning: O Divine Lord, cast Your glance of grace upon me, for I am drowning in the treacherous waters of this worldly existence. Without Your hand to grasp and pull me upward, I shall inevitably perish in the currents of illusion and suffering.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि अन्य पापी या गिरे हुए लोग एक छोटे कुएं के समान सीमित हैं, तो मैं स्वयं को एक विशाल समुद्र की तरह अनंत पापों और अशुद्धियों से भरा हुआ मानता हूँ। हे कृपा के सागर, मैं केवल आपके नाम का सहारा लेता हूँ, कृपया मेरी पुकार सुनें और मुझे अपनी शरण में लें।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि समय बहुत कम था और अवसर हाथ से निकल गया, जबकि प्रियतम (परमात्मा) अभी भी परदेस यानी दूरी पर है। हे राम, इस विरह के कलंक और भ्रम के अंधेरे को मिटा दीजिए ताकि आत्मा का मिलन संभव हो सके।

Meaning: Kabir laments that the fleeting opportunity for spiritual awakening has passed while the Beloved (the Divine) remains distant, as if in a foreign land. He prays to the Divine to erase the stains of ignorance and the shadows of delusion that prevent the soul's union.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी स्वयं को चेतावनी देते हुए कहते हैं कि हे मेरे अंतर्मन, सावधान हो जा, क्योंकि मैं अज्ञानता के कारण चेतनाविहीन हो गया हूँ। जब मन, वाणी और कर्मों के माध्यम से ईश्वर का स्मरण नहीं किया जाता, तो जीवन रूपी यह खेत पूरी तरह निष्फल और व्यर्थ हो जाता है।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि इस जन्म में या इस क्षण में मुझे मेरे परमात्मा (सांई) के दर्शन हो जाएं, तो मैं अपनी आंखों से बहते आंसुओं के माध्यम से अपने जीवन के समस्त दुखों और विरह की व्यथा को उनके समक्ष व्यक्त कर दूंगा। मैं पूरी तरह समर्पित होकर अपना सिर उनके चरणों में रख दूंगा और वह सब कुछ कह दूंगा जो मेरे हृदय में दबा हुआ है, क्योंकि केवल वही मेरी वास्तविक पीड़ा को समझ सकते हैं।

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि वह परम सत्ता, जिसे 'अलख' (अदृश्य) और 'इलाही' (ईश्वर) कहा जाता है, वास्तव में एक ही है। दुनिया ने अपनी सुविधा और भाषा के अनुसार उसे अलग-अलग नाम दे दिए हैं। इन विभिन्न नामों को सुनकर कोई भी भ्रमित न हो कि ईश्वर अलग-अलग हैं; सत्य केवल एक ही है।
