अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति दूसरों की मदद इस उम्मीद में करता है कि बदले में उसे कुछ प्रशंसा या लाभ मिले, वह स्वार्थी है। वास्तविक वीर या 'सुरमा' वह है जो बिना किसी व्यक्तिगत लाभ की इच्छा के, केवल परोपकार और मानवता की भलाई के लिए निस्वार्थ भाव से कार्य करता है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that one who performs acts of kindness expecting a return, whether in the form of praise or material gain, remains bound by selfishness. The true spiritual warrior, the 'Surma', is the one who serves others without any desire for reward, acting solely for the collective welfare and the higher good of all beings.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति केवल सांसारिक मोह-माया और अहंकार में लिप्त है, वह उस सूखे पेड़ की तरह है जो न तो छाया देता है और न ही किसी के काम आता है, बल्कि वह केवल एक नुकीले कांटे की तरह चुभता है। इसके विपरीत, परोपकार और परमात्मा के वास्तविक स्वरूप (परमार्थ) का ध्यान करना उस विशाल पीपल के पेड़ की तरह है, जो शांति और अनंत सुख के सागर का मूल स्रोत है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a person consumed by worldly attachments and ego is akin to a withered, dry tree—devoid of shade and utility, serving only as a piercing thorn. Conversely, meditating upon the Ultimate Truth (Paramarth) and practicing selfless service is like planting a great Peepal tree, which serves as the primordial root and source of an infinite ocean of peace and spiritual bliss.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मैं अपने व्यक्तिगत शारीरिक सुखों, भौतिक आवश्यकताओं या सांसारिक लाभ के लिए किसी के सामने हाथ नहीं फैलाता। लेकिन जब बात परमार्थ की आती है—अर्थात आत्मा के कल्याण और सत्य की खोज की—तो मैं संकोच या सामाजिक शर्म को त्याग कर सत्य के लिए समर्पित होने को तैयार हूँ।

Meaning: Kabir declares that he does not beg or seek help from others for his own physical needs or worldly comforts. However, when it comes to 'Parmarth'—the pursuit of the Supreme Truth and the spiritual liberation of the soul—he feels no shame or hesitation in seeking guidance or surrendering to the divine truth.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि इस संसार में न तो यौवन स्थायी है, न शरीर की सुंदरता, और न ही यह भौतिक स्थान या घर। सब कुछ नश्वर है। केवल वही पुण्य और यश इस दुनिया में जीवित रहता है जो दूसरों की निस्वार्थ सेवा और मदद के माध्यम से अर्जित किया गया हो।

Meaning: Kabir teaches that neither youth nor physical beauty lasts, nor do the places or homes we inhabit. Everything in the material world is transient. The only thing that remains as a lasting legacy in this world is the fame and grace earned through selfless service and helping others in need.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह मन अत्यंत चंचल और उपद्रवी है; जब इसे सही राह दिखाई जाती है या इसे समझाया जाता है, तो यह क्रोधित हो जाता है। विडंबना यह है कि जिस मार्ग पर चलकर परमात्मा (साहिब) की प्राप्ति संभव है, उस मार्ग पर यह मन एक कदम भी आगे बढ़ने को तैयार नहीं होता।

Meaning: Kabir observes that the human mind is a mischievous jester, prone to stubbornness and anger when corrected. Despite its restlessness in worldly pursuits, the mind stubbornly refuses to travel even a single mile upon the spiritual path that leads to the realization of the Divine Master.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार मिट्टी के घड़े को आकार देने के लिए जल की आवश्यकता होती है और जल के बिना घड़ा नहीं बन सकता, उसी प्रकार ज्ञान की प्राप्ति के लिए मन का होना आवश्यक है। बिना मन की एकाग्रता और उसकी उपस्थिति के, वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान का उदय संभव नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that just as water is essential to bind clay and shape a pot, for without water, no pot can exist, similarly, the mind is the essential vessel for knowledge. Without the presence and focused alignment of the mind, the realization of true spiritual wisdom cannot manifest.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब शरीर स्थिर हो और मन भी शांत हो जाए, तब वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक उपलब्धि होती है। जब तन और मन दोनों एक ही केंद्र पर स्थिर हो जाते हैं, तब मनुष्य के भीतर सुमेरु पर्वत जैसा अडिग और विशाल आध्यात्मिक उत्थान घटित होता है, जिससे वह पूर्णता को प्राप्त करता है।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that true spiritual attainment occurs when the body is still and the mind is equally quieted. When both the physical form and the mental faculty are brought under conscious control and aligned at a single point of focus, the seeker experiences a spiritual ascent as stable and magnificent as Mount Sumeru, reaching a state of absolute wholeness.

When this mind is swayed by the winds of sensory desires and worldly attachments, the entire temple—representing the spiritual vessel—shifts from its foundation, leading to the total loss of one's essential spiritual wealth and true self.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मन में अहंकार, क्रोध या अज्ञान के कारण एक छोटी सी दरार आ जाती है, तो वह विनाशकारी होती है। जैसे एक बार स्फटिक या कीमती पत्थर टूट जाए, तो वह दोबारा पहले जैसा पूर्ण नहीं हो सकता, वैसे ही मन की पवित्रता और एकाग्रता एक बार खंडित होने पर पुनः प्राप्त करना अत्यंत कठिन होता है।

Meaning: Kabir warns that once a crack of ego, anger, or ignorance enters the mind, it becomes catastrophic. Just as a crystal or a precious stone, once shattered, can never be restored to its original seamless wholeness, the purity and singular focus of the mind, once fractured, are nearly impossible to regain in their pristine state.
