अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब मन अहंकार और अज्ञानता के कारण एक विशाल पर्वत की तरह कठोर और अभेद्य हो जाता है, तब उसे जीतना कठिन होता है। लेकिन जब प्रेम की छेनी से उस पर प्रहार किया जाता है, तो उस कठोरता के भीतर छिपा हुआ आध्यात्मिक स्वर्ण (परमात्मा) प्रकट हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that when the mind becomes as stubborn and immovable as a mountain due to ego and ignorance, it seems insurmountable. However, when the tool of divine love is applied to carve through this hardness, the hidden mine of spiritual gold—the ultimate truth—is finally revealed.

अर्थ: यह संसार एक घने और अंधेरे जंगल की तरह है, जिसमें हमारा मन एक मदमस्त हाथी के समान है जो अनियंत्रित होकर भटक रहा है। इस हाथी रूपी मन को नियंत्रित करने वाला अंकुश केवल 'ज्ञान' का रत्न है, जिसे केवल सच्चे साधु और संत ही प्रदान कर सकते हैं और चलाना जानते हैं।

Meaning: This world is like a dense, dark forest where the human mind wanders like a wild, intoxicated elephant, uncontrolled and reckless. The only tool capable of taming this elephantine mind is the 'jeweled goad' of spiritual knowledge, which is wielded and bestowed only by the enlightened saints and seekers of truth.

अर्थ: मन एक चंचल हिरण की तरह है जो निरंतर बाहरी दुनिया की इच्छाओं और इंद्रियों के पीछे भागता रहता है। कबीर कहते हैं कि इस भटकते हुए मन को केवल गुरु के ज्ञान के माध्यम से ही नियंत्रित और स्थिर किया जा सकता है, जिससे साधक वास्तविक तत्व या परम सत्य को प्राप्त कर सके।

Meaning: The mind is likened to a restless deer that constantly wanders in all directions, chasing the illusions of the external world. Kabir suggests that this erratic mind can only be tethered and steadied through the wisdom of a Guru, allowing the seeker to remain anchored in the ultimate Truth or the essential Essence of existence.

अर्थ: साधारणतः मनुष्य अपने भीतर के दोषों, वासनाओं और अज्ञान रूपी चोरों से डरता है और उन्हें दबाने या नष्ट करने का प्रयास करता है। परंतु कबीर कहते हैं कि जब वह 'चोर' वास्तव में परमात्मा या आत्म-बोध के रूप में प्रकट होता है, तो साधक अपना सर्वस्व उस पर न्योछावर करने को तैयार हो जाता है।

Meaning: Generally, a person fears and attempts to suppress the 'thief' within—the impulses of desire, ego, and ignorance. However, Kabir suggests that when this thief is recognized as the Divine Presence or the awakening of the Soul, the seeker is joyfully willing to sacrifice everything they possess to unite with it.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मनुष्य का मन मूलतः एक ही है, लेकिन वह अपनी इच्छा और दिशा के अनुसार अलग-अलग दिशाओं में लगाया जा सकता है। व्यक्ति चाहे तो इस मन को गुरु की भक्ति और आध्यात्मिक उन्नति में लगा सकता है, या फिर इसे सांसारिक सुखों और इंद्रिय तृप्तियों की खोज में व्यर्थ नष्ट कर सकता है।

One may choose to direct this singular focus toward the devotion of the Guru and spiritual liberation, or conversely, dissipate its energy in the pursuit of sensory pleasures and worldly acquisitions.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि आपका मन शांत और शीतल है, तो संसार में आपका कोई शत्रु नहीं होगा। जब आप अपने अहंकार (आपा) का त्याग कर देते हैं, तो पूरी सृष्टि आपके प्रति करुणा और प्रेम का भाव रखने लगती है।

Meaning: Kabir teaches that if the mind remains cool and serene, no one in the world becomes an enemy. Once you cast aside the 'Aapa' or the egoic sense of self, the entire universe responds to you with compassion and grace.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि अपनी आध्यात्मिक अभिलाषा और सत्य की खोज को कभी मत छोड़ो, क्योंकि तुम्हारी मेहनत और साधना व्यर्थ नहीं जाएगी। जिस प्रकार पानी में घुला हुआ घी अदृश्य हो सकता है, लेकिन वह वहां मौजूद रहता है, वैसे ही सत्य छिपा हो सकता है, पर वह अंततः प्रकट होगा क्योंकि बिना रस के जीवन सूखा और नीरस है जिसे कोई स्वीकार नहीं करता।

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker not to abandon their spiritual aspirations or the quest for Truth, for no sincere effort is ever wasted. Just as clarified butter (ghee) may be hidden within water, remaining unseen yet present, the Divine Truth may seem concealed, but it will eventually manifest because a life devoid of spiritual essence is like dry food—unpalatable and devoid of sustenance.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह मन एक अनियंत्रित हाथी की तरह शक्तिशाली और उद्दंड है। इसे नियंत्रित करने के लिए विवेक रूपी अंकुश की आवश्यकता है। जब हम वासनाओं और ईर्ष्या की विषैली लताओं को त्याग देते हैं, तभी हम आध्यात्मिक आनंद और मोक्ष रूपी अमृत का स्वाद चख सकते हैं।
