मनशांति (Peace of Mind) — Kabir Dohas

अर्थ: जहाँ सच्चा प्रेम होता है, वहाँ नियमों, कायदों और औपचारिकताओं का कोई स्थान नहीं होता। जब मन ईश्वर या प्रियतम के प्रेम में पूरी तरह लीन हो जाता है, तो समय, तिथि और सांसारिक गणनाओं का कोई महत्व नहीं रह जाता; केवल प्रेम का अनुभव शेष रहता है।

Meaning: Where true love resides, there is no room for rigid rules, social protocols, or calculated behaviors. When the heart is completely immersed in the ecstasy of divine love, the constraints of time, dates, and worldly schedules vanish, leaving only the pure experience of union.

अर्थ: वे लोग वास्तव में अमरत्व या आध्यात्मिक आनंद (अमृत) को प्राप्त करते हैं, जिन्होंने सतगुरु के वचनों को ध्यानपूर्वक सुना और आत्मसात किया। जब वह अगोचर (इंद्रियों से परे) परमात्मा का अनुभव हो जाता है, तो मन फिर कभी सांसारिक भटकाव या अन्य इच्छाओं की ओर नहीं लौटता।

Meaning: Those who truly attain the nectar of immortality and spiritual bliss are those who have listened with deep attention to the guidance of the True Guru. Once the 'Agochar'—the imperceptible, formless Divine—is realized, the mind ceases its restless wandering and no longer seeks solace in the transient distractions of the material world.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार रेत के कण आँखों में चुभते हैं या तेज धूप शरीर को जलाती है, वैसे ही शब्दों का अनावश्यक प्रयोग अक्सर विवाद और पीड़ा पैदा करता है। संसार में मौन से अधिक मधुर और शांतिदायक कोई अन्य औषधि या अनुभव नहीं है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that just as grains of sand irritate the eyes or the scorching sun burns the skin, the unnecessary utterance of words often breeds conflict and pain. In the entirety of existence, there is no nectar sweeter or more healing than the practice of conscious silence.

अर्थ: यदि मनुष्य का मन शांत और शीतल रहे, तो उसे इस संसार में कोई भी शत्रु प्रतीत नहीं होगा। जैसे ही व्यक्ति अपने अहंकार और 'मैं' की भावना का त्याग कर देता है, संपूर्ण जगत उसके प्रति करुणा और प्रेम भाव से भर जाता है।

Meaning: If a person's mind remains calm and cool, they will find no enemies in this world. The moment one discards the ego and the sense of 'I-ness', the entire universe responds with compassion and kindness toward them.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि कठोर और कुटिल शब्द दुनिया में सबसे अधिक हानिकारक होते हैं, क्योंकि वे अग्नि की तरह होते हैं जो सुनने वाले के हृदय और संबंधों को जलाकर राख कर देते हैं। इसके विपरीत, एक संत या ज्ञानी व्यक्ति के शब्द शीतल जल के समान होते हैं, जो आत्मा को शांति प्रदान करते हैं और अमृत की वर्षा की तरह जीवन में सकारात्मकता और दिव्यता का संचार करते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir explains that harsh and crooked words are the most destructive force in existence, acting like a fire that incinerates the heart and reduces relationships to ashes. Conversely, the words of a realized soul or a saint are like cooling water, providing solace to the tormented spirit and raining down a nectar of immortality and peace that rejuvenates the inner being.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि उस शब्द या नाद का उच्चारण करो जिससे सारे दुख समाप्त हो जाएं। वह शब्द जो आत्मा के भीतर की तपन और मानसिक संताप को मिटाकर शीतलता प्रदान करे, वही वास्तव में सत्य का सार है और वास्तविक ज्ञान है।

Meaning: Kabir urges the seeker to utter that sacred Word or Sound which eradicates all suffering. The vibration that extinguishes the burning heat of worldly agony and brings a profound inner coolness is the true essence of reality and the ultimate spiritual truth.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि आध्यात्मिक अवस्था अत्यंत विचित्र और रहस्यमयी है, जिसे साधारण बुद्धि से तुरंत नहीं समझा जा सकता। जब मन का आंतरिक द्वंद्व, शोर और अशांति समाप्त हो जाती है, तब साधक उस परम शून्य या संतुलन की स्थिति में ठहर जाता है जहाँ द्वैत समाप्त हो जाता है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that the spiritual state is profoundly paradoxical and elusive, defying immediate comprehension by the rational mind. Only when the internal turbulence, mental noise, and emotional conflicts of the mind are silenced does the seeker attain a state of equilibrium and stillness, merging with the ultimate void.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मन एक ऐसी छड़ी की तरह है जो निरंतर इधर-उधर दौड़ती रहती है, बाहरी दुनिया में सुख और शांति की तलाश करती है। लेकिन जब यह मन थककर शांत हो जाता है, तब उसे अहसास होता है कि जिसे वह बाहर खोज रहा था, वह सत्य तो हमेशा से उसके भीतर ही मौजूद था।

Meaning: Kabir explains that the mind is like a restless stick, constantly racing in outward directions, searching for peace and fulfillment in the external world. However, once the mind exhausts itself and becomes still, it realizes that the Truth it was seeking externally has always been present within its own center.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि सत्य आँखों के बाहर नहीं, बल्कि मन के भीतर निवास करता है। हमारी पलकें बाहरी दुनिया को देखने में व्यस्त रहती हैं, जबकि असली खजाना अंदर है। मन ही तीनों लोकों का स्वामी है और यदि मन शुद्ध हो जाए, तो ईश्वर की पूजा हर स्थान पर संभव है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that Truth does not reside outside the eyes but dwells within the mind. While our eyelids blink and race to capture the external world, the real treasure remains internal. The mind is the sovereign ruler of the three worlds, and once the mind is purified, the worship of the Divine becomes possible everywhere.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह मन एक विशाल सागर की तरह है और हमारी इच्छाएं उसमें उठने वाली लहरों के समान हैं। इस मोह-माया के सागर में अनगिनत अचेत और अज्ञानी लोग डूब गए हैं। केवल वही व्यक्ति इस संसार रूपी सागर से पार पा सकता है, जिसके हृदय में विवेक और सही-गलत का बोध जागृत है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the human mind as a vast ocean and desires as the turbulent waves arising within it. Countless unconscious souls have drowned in this sea of attachment and illusion.
