अर्थ: इस दोहे में कबीर एक मंदिर की संरचना का वर्णन करते हैं जहाँ मूर्ति, विस्तृत सजावट, पत्तों पर जल और पूजा करने वाले भक्त मौजूद हैं। वे यह संकेत दे रहे हैं कि मनुष्य बाहरी आडंबरों और भौतिक प्रतीकों में ईश्वर को खोजने का प्रयास करता है, जबकि वास्तविक सत्य इन सबके परे है।

Meaning: In this couplet, Kabir describes the architecture of a temple containing the deity, elaborate decorations, water offered on leaves, and the worshipper. He suggests that humanity spends its existence seeking the Divine within external rituals and physical symbols, while the ultimate Truth resides far beyond these superficial constructs.

अर्थ: जब हृदय के भीतर अनहद नाद (अनाहत ध्वनि) गूंजने लगता है और आध्यात्मिक आनंद का झरना बहने लगता है, तब ब्रह्म ज्ञान का उदय होता है। उस समय वह अविगत या अज्ञात परमात्मा अंतरात्मा में प्रकट होता है और साधक प्रेमपूर्ण ध्यान में लीन हो जाता है।

Meaning: When the unstruck sound (Anhad Naad) resonates within and the fountain of spiritual bliss flows, the knowledge of the Absolute (Brahman) awakens. In this state, the previously unknown Divine manifests within the soul, and the seeker becomes absorbed in a meditation of pure, unconditional love.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब हृदय के भीतर वह परम कमल (चेतना) प्रस्फुटित होता है, तब ज्ञान का निर्मल सूर्य उदय होता है। इसके साथ ही अज्ञान की घनी काली रात समाप्त हो जाती है और आत्मा के भीतर वह अनहद नाद गूंजने लगता है, जो बिना किसी बाहरी प्रहार के बजने वाला ईश्वरीय संगीत है।

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that when the lotus of consciousness blooms within the heart, the pure sun of spiritual knowledge rises. Consequently, the dark night of ignorance is obliterated, and the 'Anhad'—the unstruck celestial sound—begins to resonate within the soul, a divine music that requires no physical instrument to play.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह संसार एक ऐसे उल्टे कुएं के समान है जिसका मुख आकाश की ओर है, जबकि पानी पाताल में है। इस विचित्र कुएं से पानी निकालने वाला वह 'हंस' (साधक) है, जो अपनी सूक्ष्म दृष्टि और गहरे चिंतन से उस गुप्त अमृत को खोज लेता है, जिसे साधारण लोग देख नहीं पाते।

Meaning: Kabir describes the world as an inverted well, where the mouth faces the sky but the water resides in the depths of the underworld. Only the 'Hansa' (the spiritual seeker/soul) can drink from this well, utilizing deep contemplation and inner vision to access the hidden nectar that remains invisible to the mundane eye.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी इस दोहे के माध्यम से संसार की विसंगतियों और अज्ञानता पर प्रहार कर रहे हैं। वे कहते हैं कि जब मनुष्य अपनी चेतना खो देता है और माया के वशीभूत होता है, तो वह प्रकृति के नियमों के विरुद्ध असंभव और अतार्किक कार्यों में लग जाता है, जैसे मछली का खजूर के पेड़ पर चढ़ना या पानी के भीतर घर बनाना।

He suggests that when a soul is disconnected from its true nature, it attempts the impossible and the illogical—akin to a fish trying to build a home in the air or climbing a date palm tree—symbolizing the futility of seeking spiritual truth through misplaced means.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब ज्ञान की वर्षा होती है, तो जीवन में अमृत बरसता है और साधारण पत्थर भी हीरे में बदल जाते हैं। जैसे टकसाल में सिक्के ढाले जाते हैं, वैसे ही साधना से आत्मा कुंदन बन जाती है। कबीर, जो एक जलाहा (कुम्हार/चर्मकार) थे, अपनी आंतरिक शुद्धि और अनहद नाद के अनुभव से पारस बन गए और संसार के मोह-माया के सागर को पार कर गए।

Meaning: Kabir proclaims that when the rain of divine knowledge descends, nectar showers upon the soul and ordinary stones are transformed into diamonds. Just as a mint transforms raw metal into coins, spiritual discipline refines the soul into pure gold. Kabir, though born into the humble caste of a leather-worker, became like the mythical philosopher's stone (Paarashu) through the experience of the unstruck sound (Anhad), ultimately crossing the ocean of worldly existence.

Meaning: Kabir asserts that when the veil of 'I-ness' or ego is lifted and the portal of divine love is flung open, one attains the vision of the Compassionate Infinite. In that transformative moment, every thorn of suffering and pain is transmuted into an ocean of eternal bliss.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मेरा प्रेम केवल तुम्हारे लिए है, हे मेरे स्वामी! दुनिया में कई गुणवान और विद्वान लोग हो सकते हैं, लेकिन मेरी निष्ठा केवल तुझसे है। यदि मैं किसी और से मुस्कुराकर बात करूँ, तो तुम मेरे दाँतों को नीले रंग से रंग देना, ताकि मेरी बेवफाई दुनिया के सामने प्रकट हो जाए।

Meaning: Kabir declares that his love is reserved solely for the Divine Beloved. While there may be many virtuous or learned individuals in the world, his devotion is singular. He asserts that if he should ever smile or converse with another in a way that betrays this sacred bond, may his teeth be dyed blue as a mark of his infidelity.

अर्थ: कबीर परमात्मा से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि वे उनकी आँखों के भीतर समा जाएँ और उनकी पलकें बंद कर दें। वे चाहते हैं कि उनकी दृष्टि बाहरी दुनिया के मायावी प्रपंचों से पूरी तरह कट जाए, ताकि वे किसी और को न देखें और न ही कोई बाहरी प्रभाव उन्हें विचलित कर सके, केवल परमात्मा का ही साक्षात्कार हो।

Meaning: Kabir prays to the Divine to enter within his eyes and close his eyelids. He seeks a state of complete sensory withdrawal where he no longer perceives the illusory distractions of the external world, nor allows any external influence to penetrate his consciousness, ensuring that only the Absolute Truth remains visible.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि मेरे भीतर ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं है जिसे मैं वास्तव में 'मेरा' कह सकूँ। जो कुछ भी इस अस्तित्व में है, वह सब ईश्वर का ही है। जब मैं तेरी ही दी हुई वस्तुओं को तुझे वापस सौंपता हूँ, तो इसमें मेरा क्या नुकसान है या मुझे क्या खोना है?

Meaning: Kabir declares that there is nothing within him that can truly be claimed as 'mine'. Everything that exists in his being and surroundings belongs to the Divine. He asks rhetorically, if he is simply returning what already belongs to the Creator, what loss could he possibly incur or what attachment remains to be severed?
