अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि उस बेचारे मनुष्य की क्या सहायता की जा सकती है जिसका हृदय आध्यात्मिक शून्यता से भरा है। भले ही उसे सोने के सिंहासन या भौतिक सुख-सुविधाओं के बीच बिठाया जाए, लेकिन यदि उसके भीतर संतोष और ज्ञान का अभाव है, तो वह अंततः तुच्छ और व्यर्थ की चीजों के पीछे ही भागता रहेगा।

Meaning: Kabir laments the plight of a human whose heart is a void of spiritual emptiness. He suggests that even if such a person is seated upon a golden throne or surrounded by the highest material luxuries, they will remain perpetually unsatisfied, continuing to crave the trivial and the mundane because the hunger is not of the body, but of the soul.

अर्थ: कबीर यहाँ उस विवशता की बात कर रहे हैं जहाँ मनुष्य का शरीर केवल एक रिक्त पात्र या शून्य बन जाता है। यदि व्यक्ति के भीतर वह आध्यात्मिक चेतना या जीवतत्व जागृत नहीं होता, तो बाहरी पुकार, उपदेश या कबीर जैसे संतों की वाणी का कोई अर्थ नहीं रह जाता।

Meaning: Kabir reflects on the profound helplessness of a human being whose existence has become a void. अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यह मन एक विशाल सागर की तरह है और हमारी इच्छाएं उसमें उठने वाली लहरों के समान हैं। इस मोह-माया के सागर में अनगिनत अचेत और अज्ञानी लोग डूब गए हैं। केवल वही व्यक्ति इस संसार रूपी सागर से पार पा सकता है, जिसके हृदय में विवेक और सही-गलत का बोध जागृत है।

Meaning: Kabir describes the human mind as a vast ocean and desires as the turbulent waves arising within it. Countless unconscious souls have drowned in this sea of attachment and illusion. अर्थ: मन माया के भ्रमों से घिरा एक छोटा कमरा बन गया है और शरीर संदेहों की एक मजबूत दीवार या किले के भीतर कैद है। जब मनुष्य अपनी अज्ञानता के कारण आध्यात्मिक उपचार या सत्य के मंत्रों को स्वीकार नहीं करता, तब वह समय और मृत्यु रूपी सर्प के घातक प्रहार का शिकार हो जाता है।

Meaning: The mind has become a cramped chamber of illusions (Maya), and the body is enclosed within a fortress of doubt. When a person refuses to heed the antidotes of spiritual wisdom and truth, they inevitably fall prey to the lethal strike of the serpent of Time and Death.

अर्थ: मलयाचल पर्वत पर अनेक प्रकार के वृक्ष उगते हैं, लेकिन केवल चंदन का वृक्ष ही अपनी सुगंध के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। कबीर कहते हैं कि केवल चंदन का नाम लेने या उसके पास रहने से कोई व्यक्ति मलयाचल पर्वत नहीं बन जाता; वास्तविक सुगंध आंतरिक रूपांतरण से आती है, बाहरी दिखावे से नहीं।

Meaning: On the slopes of the Malayagiri mountains, countless varieties of trees grow in abundance. However, only the sandalwood tree is revered for its intrinsic fragrance. Kabir asserts that merely claiming to be like sandalwood or residing in a sacred place does not make one the mountain itself; true essence is born of internal transformation, not external association.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि यदि आप मलयागिरि जैसे सुगंधित पर्वतों के बीच रहकर भी केवल ढाक और पलास जैसे साधारण या कड़वे पेड़ों को काट रहे हैं, तो आप असली खजाने को खो रहे हैं। असली लक्ष्य उस 'वेणा' (बांसुरी या दिव्य नाद) को खोजना है, जो आत्मा के संगीत को जगा दे और आपको अनंत काल के लिए परमात्मा के करीब रखे।

Meaning: Kabir suggests that if one resides amidst the fragrant peaks of Malayagiri yet spends their time cutting down common trees like Dhak and Palas, they are missing the true essence of existence. The real pursuit should be the 'Vena' (the divine flute or the inner sound), which awakens the soul's music and ensures an eternal union with the Divine.
