अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जब तक मनुष्य के हृदय में क्रोध, अहंकार और लोभ जैसे विकार मौजूद रहते हैं, तब तक एक अनपढ़ मूर्ख और एक महान विद्वान में कोई अंतर नहीं रह जाता। दोनों ही आध्यात्मिक रूप से अंधे और समान रूप से बंधन में बंधे होते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that as long as the poisons of anger, arrogance, and greed reside within the heart, there is no meaningful distinction between an ignorant fool and a learned scholar. Both remain spiritually blind and equally shackled by their internal impurities.

अर्थ: इंसान जीवन भर करोड़ों पुण्य कर्म करता है और आध्यात्मिक उन्नति के लिए प्रयास करता है, लेकिन क्रोध का एक छोटा सा क्षण और अहंकार का उदय उन सभी सत्कर्मों के प्रभाव को पूरी तरह नष्ट कर देता है। अहंकार और क्रोध आध्यात्मिक पूंजी को भस्म करने वाली अग्नि के समान हैं।

Meaning: A person may perform millions of virtuous deeds and strive for spiritual elevation throughout their life, but a single moment of uncontrolled rage and the surge of ego can instantly annihilate all the merit accumulated. Pride and anger act as a spiritual fire that consumes the fruits of lifelong discipline.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार पवन दीपक की लौ को बुझा देती है, उसी प्रकार पुरुष के लिए काम-वासना और मोह बंधन बन जाते हैं। वहीं, जो स्वयं को ज्ञानी मानते हैं, उनका अहंकार उनकी आध्यात्मिक प्रगति को नष्ट कर देता है। यह दोहा सांसारिक और मानसिक बाधाओं के प्रति सचेत करता है।

Meaning: Kabir explains that just as a gust of wind extinguishes the flame of a lamp, worldly attachments and lust act as destructive forces for a man. Meaning: Kabir warns against the cultivation of pride and arrogance. He asserts that whoever harbors the ego—the sense of a separate, superior 'I'—remains trapped in the grueling cycle of eighty-four thousand births and deaths, failing to achieve ultimate liberation.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जहाँ 'आपा' यानी अहंकार का वास होता है, वहाँ आपदाएँ और संकट अनिवार्य रूप से आते हैं। जहाँ संशय और संदेह होता है, वहाँ शोक और दुख का जन्म होता है। ये चार विकार—अहंकार, आपदा, संशय और शोक—गहरे और दीर्घकालिक रोग हैं जिन्हें मिटाना अत्यंत कठिन है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that wherever 'Aapa' (the ego or the sense of separate self) resides, calamity and distress inevitably follow. Wherever doubt and uncertainty dwell, sorrow and grief take root. He describes these four states—ego, calamity, doubt, and grief—as chronic, deep-seated spiritual ailments that are profoundly difficult to eradicate.

अर्थ: कबीर दास जी कहते हैं कि संसार के अधिकांश लोग 'प्रभुता' यानी सत्ता, पद, अहंकार और बाहरी दिखावे की पूजा करते हैं, लेकिन उस वास्तविक 'प्रभु' या निराकार परमात्मा को कोई नहीं खोजता। जो केवल प्रभुता के पीछे भागते हैं, वे अंततः उस अहंकार और माया के दास बन जाते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir observes that most people worship 'Prabhuta'—the attributes of power, status, ego, and outward grandeur—while ignoring the actual 'Prabhu,' the formless Divine. Those who chase the illusion of power eventually become slaves to their own ego and the deceptive nature of Maya.
