सत्यनिष्ठा (Truthfulness) — Kabir Dohas

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि असली हीरे की पहचान वही है जो कठोर प्रहार और घिसाई को सहन कर सके। उसी प्रकार, मनुष्य के भीतर का अहंकार और कपट जब परीक्षण की अग्नि में तपता है, तब पता चलता है कि वह वास्तव में शुद्ध है या उसके चरित्र में कोई खोट है।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that a true diamond is recognized only by its ability to withstand the heaviest blows and the harshest grinding. Similarly, the true quality of a human being is revealed through adversity; while the deceitful heart masks itself, the trial of life exposes the inherent flaws or the genuine purity of the soul.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जिस अहंकार रूपी सर्प को मैंने कल मारा था, वही सर्प आज फिर से मेरे मन में बस गया है। जब तक मैं इस सूक्ष्म अहंकार के सर्प को पूरी तरह समाप्त नहीं कर देता, तब तक मैं उस परम सत्य या ईश्वर का साक्षात्कार नहीं कर सकता।

Meaning: Kabir reflects on the persistent nature of the ego, comparing it to a serpent. He notes that the serpent of pride he thought he had slain yesterday has returned to dwell within his mind. He asserts that until this internal venomous ego is completely eradicated, the realization of the Ultimate Truth remains unattainable.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि 'राम' नाम का जाप तो हर कोई करता है, लेकिन इस जाप के पीछे का वास्तविक उद्देश्य और गहराई सबके लिए अलग होती है। केवल वही व्यक्ति वास्तव में राम को जान पाया है जिसने अपनी इंद्रियों और अहंकार का त्याग कर दिया है और जो सांसारिक मोह-माया के बंधनों से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो चुका है।

Meaning: Kabir observes that while everyone chants the name of 'Ram', the intent and depth behind such recitation vary greatly. Only those who have truly transcended the ego and severed the ties of worldly attachment can be said to have actually realized the Divine essence of Ram.

अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति सत्य को जानकर भी उसे त्याग देता है और झूठ से प्रेम करता है, उसकी संगति से बचना चाहिए। कबीर कहते हैं कि ऐसे व्यक्ति का साथ स्वप्न में भी नहीं लेना चाहिए, क्योंकि सत्य का मार्ग केवल सत्यनिष्ठा से ही संभव है।

Meaning: One who consciously rejects the truth after realizing it and instead develops an affection for falsehood is a dangerous companion. Kabir warns that such a person should be avoided entirely, even in one's dreams, as spiritual progress is impossible in the company of deceit.

अर्थ: कबीर कहते हैं कि जो व्यक्ति उदारतापूर्वक दान करता है, उसकी वास्तविक संपत्ति कभी समाप्त नहीं होती। जो योद्धा साहस और वीरता दिखाता है, उसका सम्मान और प्रभाव कई गुना बढ़ जाता है। इसी प्रकार, जो व्यक्ति अपने नैतिक कर्तव्यों और सत्यनिष्ठा के प्रति समर्पित रहता है, ईश्वर उसकी मर्यादा और सम्मान की रक्षा स्वयं करते हैं।

Meaning: Kabir asserts that the wealth of a generous giver is inexhaustible, for spiritual abundance grows through sharing. The bravery of a warrior multiplies their presence and honor. Similarly, those who remain steadfast in their moral commitments and inner integrity are shielded by the Divine, who preserves the dignity of the righteous.
